I am going to be driving a UK visitor from SW Herts to Evesham and was just wondering of the most picturesque route.
Would the A44 from Oxford or the A40 to Burford then the A424 be best?
Alternatively I would take the A41 to Bicester then cut across country to Chipping Norton. Recommendations? I wont be in any hurry.

I would wish to avoid the wonders of the Oxford ring road and would dismiss this option.

On A41 we would go through Aylesbury up to Bicester and probably over to the A44 via the B4030. A bit twisty but reasonably scenic passing through pleasant villages.

If you have not passed through Bicester recently you will find major changes to the roundabout by Bicester Village Outlet and the Esso garage.with alot of new build. Still turn right and pick up the B road after a few hundred yards.

I had better a allow a few extra hours then or blindfold my passenger as I drive past the village.
