Edinburgh to Venice

what's the best way to get from Edinburgh to Venice?

There are of course a few routes, i'm just wondering if anyone's done it and what is the best way.

So far i've considered using easyjet to fly to milan then taking the bus and train, flying to london or paris and making a connecting flight, and there is and and direct jet2.com flight, but it a day later that i had planned and at 7am!!

any advice would be welcome.

My advice would be to tell us what you mean by 'best'. Cheapest, fastest, most scenic, most confortable, most adventurous etc ?

yeah i guess "best" is not a good description. Price, length of time and time of departure and arrival are important to me.

i decided on the easy jet flight, which leaves in the afternoon and flies to milan. From their we'll have to take the bus/train to Venice.
