Cornish seaside

Country forums / UK & Ireland / England

Hello all,

Any opinions on which are the prettiest seaside/harbour towns in Cornwall. All I'm looking for is a great view, a decent pub and somewhere to stay...

Cheers

St Ives is gorgeouos. One of the best guest houses on Britain I have ever stayed in is there as well:

tre-pol-pen

1

St Agnes - Trevaunance Cove. One of the best pubs in the world, the Driftwood Spars (with a hotel attached), and lovely view.

Also, Sennen Cove, Perranporth, and hundreds of others I'm sure...

2

Coverack on the Lizard, stay at Boak house and drink in the Paris Inn or walk to some of the nice pubs in St Keverne. Theres also the Hazelphron nr Gunwallowe which is an amazung pub which does B&B and overlooks Chuch Cove which is realy nice

You are spoilt for choice. St Ives is a quaint place with good pubs. Newquay is a lot bigger and should also suit your requirements, not to mention Bude which is near the border with Devon. On the south coast Looe is a nice place.

Polzeath is lovely. Really nice beach/pub/surf. Bit lahdy dah though.

Croyde Bay just over the border in Devon is also really nice.

I would back up other comments about St Ives and St Agnes as well. Both are lovely.

Newquay is a bit brash and has a lot of stag and hen parties, but is fine if you want a bit more of a lively time.

Cornwall is really great.

As #2 said hundreds of other places.

Have a great trip.

Most of Cornwall is gorgeous! The only place better is my dear Lake District!
