Clink Prison

Has anyone been to the Clink Prison? what did you think?

OP - have you been to the dungeon? great first thing on a Monday morning when suffering an anxiety hangover - especially when they trap you in the maze.

I went ages ago. In fact it was the day it opened, I was alsmost shanghaied into the place for free.
It was okay, but as it was new it looked, er, well, new.

It was enjoyable, but I could not say if it has improved.

Silly waxwork figures. Good for a giggle at how crap it is, and then pub.

The Clink Museum is a bit basic considering the 4 quid entrance fee. The whole thing can be seen in about 10 minutes. Dark dingy atmosphere, not-very-convincing wax figures, loads of information that you have to read. If you are desperate to see it then go ahead, but you won't be missing much if you don't.

As for the Dungeon, I last went about 10 years ago and it was excellent, full of reall interesting stuff about the various methods of torture, but now it's like a theme park. All frill and no trousers. And there always seems to be a queue outside, no matter what time of day you front up. Not worth 12 quid I don't think (not anymore anyway).
