Has anyone been to The Gingerman restaurant at Drakes Hotel? Would you recommend it?
I'm looking for a restaurant which has a private room for a group (about 12 people I think). If not The Gingerman, then is there somewhere else that you are able to recommend?

Hi there - I went to the Gingerman at Drakes a month or so ago; it is certainly a good restaurant, and they do have a private room there that should suit your needs, although I wouldn't say that it absolutely blew me away.
The original Gingerman, although I haven't been there, is apparently meant to be the best restaurant in Brighton and might be worth a look. Others would be Hotel du Vin or Blanche House - a couple of other nearby boutique hotels which are also meant to be very good.
