Affordable housing in good neighborhood near Islington

Hey all, I have an internship this summer in Islington, London this summer, and I've heard housing is pretty expensive in that area. Does anyone know of a good neighborhood with reasonably priced apartments/flats near Islington? I'm not at all familiar with the area, so I'd like to get an idea of where I'll be living this summer, thanks for the help!

The Archway area , and Holloway road areas should be cheaper ,and are near Islington .

A bed sit in shared house=£80-£100pw plus bills, studio flat=£130pw, 1 bed flat=£150. 1 months deposit required and the rent is 1 month in advance. Bank refs required, standing order only.

Archway and Holloway Road are near and cheaper, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily class them as "good"...

Islington covers quite a large area. What part do you want to be close to?

Yes Archway (N19) or Holloway (N7), also Hackney. Hackney (E5, E8 and E9) is quite a large area- the E8 postcode is closest to Islington and not too dodgy. E9 I don't really know but I think is the Victoria Park area which is pretty popular and nice but not so convenient for Islington. E5 is cheap but rough, personally I'd avoid it.

Stoke Newington or Newington Green (both N16) will probably be a bit cheaper than Islington but still aren't that cheap.
