Dear friends,

The following is an itinerary for England for almost a week. What are your thoughts please. Is it manageable? We like it all, history, architecture, art and nature.

4/12 London
4/13 Tour Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Oxford
4/14 Bath
4/15 Bath
4/16 Cotswolds, Salisbury
4/17 London
4/18 London

What would you add, subtract?

Thank you.

Are you flying into London from U.S. on 12th April or from elsewhere in Europe?

How are you getting between the destinations mentioned above - car or public transport?

As it looks like you're visiting over the Easter holidays and that you may be using a car then be prepared for longer driving times as just about everyone and their dog could be on the road from Thursday 13th onwards over the weekend, especially if the high temperatures continue past this weekend and into next weekend.

Last thing to ask is whether you already have booked your accomodation. If not, then take a look at www.booking.com to see what the availabilty is and (more importantly) what prices are like.

It may be physically possible to get to Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford in 1 day, but far from enjoyable.
Salisbury is quite close to Stongehenge, so it makes much more sense to visit is the same day.

Yes surely the visit to Stonehenge should be linked to Salibury and Oxford to the Cotswolds not as it is shown above. Latest weather forecasts suggest that the last few days was an anomoly and this week will be back to cold and wet. For Oxford it is 14 degrees tomorrow and 13 degrees on Wednesday the 12 degrees is the max for the rest of this week and next week.

April 13th is basically impossible, as noted. Also, given that your time is so limited, you don't need two full days in Bath - if you wanted to spend that long in one place outside of London, Oxford would be much more deserving of the second day. Beautiful and interesting as Bath is, there isn't actually that much to see.

With so little time, I'd suggest basing yourself in London for most of the trip, then taking perhaps a two-night trip to Oxford. Carefully planned, that could allow you to spend a day and a half in Oxford itself, then visit somewhere in the Cotswolds on the way back to London.

Or do the same thing with Bath/Stonehenge instead of Oxford/Cotswolds.

You could also perhaps do Windsor Castle as a half-day trip out of London, if you really wanted, but I fear Salisbury might just be over-reaching here.
