10 days for Edinburg + Belfast&Dublin with surroundingsCountry forums / UK & Ireland
I plan 10 days trip, from 27.4. till 6.5. I flight to Edinburg and I will be there till 1.5., then I have flight to Belfast and on 6.5. I flight back home. This is my time frame. Right now Im on the beginning with my plan and it would be great if I would get any tips from you. Rok, traveler from Slovenia ;)
I think four nights in Edinburgh is maybe one too many, on such a short trip. I would add time to Belfast-Dublin ... do you fly home from Dublin? Also, when you say "surroundings", are you planning to rent a car, or perhaps take day-trips out of the cities on tour buses? | 1
I would divide it roughly one third in each city(you have 9 full days, right?).I don't think any of them is outstandingly more or less interesting than the other ones. As for day trips out from the cities,I agree with above..depends a bit on how you want to travel. But considering your short timeframe I'd spend most of the time in the cities themselves. There is enough to fill a couple of days in all of them. | 2
Pity to go to Scotland and not see Scotland. Suggest you book a tour such as Rabbies or Highland Experience | 3
I agree ... but they're doing the same to Northern Ireland and the Republic as well. | 4
They are visiting three cities,not three countries...its a different trip. | 5
True, but if they're putting the effort into travelling from Slovenia, it would be nice to see a little more. However, we all have our timetables, and they are the reality. | 6
I counted 9 days but I'm not sure how many full days you have. I'd focus your trip on Edinburgh and northern Ireland. Edinburgh has a tonne to do and I personally thought the Scottish highlands were simply stunning, especially if you're into nature. That would be worth a day trip. Dublin is much bigger and more interesting to me than Belfast, so it would make more sense to me to spend your time in Dublin and then spend a day in Belfast. Ireland obviously has a lot of natural places to visit such as the Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Wild Atlantic Way, etc. I'd do one day trip to a natural place, if you're interested. So I'd recommend: | 7
Thank you all for your answers. I appreciate this. Could you just be a little bit more specific... So in bruto I have 10 day, but 8 days neto. I come to Dublin late in the evening on 27.4. and stay there till 1.5., in this day I have flight to Belfast - I will arrive there in the evening and then I have flight back home on 6.5., but from Dublin. What about... Please for any recommendation on my tour;) Thank you a lot | 8
