Hi, I'm a 30you Australian physiotherapist, working in the Outer Hebrides at the moment, but will be travelling through mainland Scotland March 28th-April 9th, 2011. Mainly interested in doing a few reasonably challenging hikes (enjoy a good scramble but nothing with axes/crampons), including perhaps Ben Nevis and on Skye, checking out historical towns and Glasgow (I'll be in Edinburgh just before and after the dates listed, staying with friends). Enjoy a few beers and heading out but mainly interested in experiencing Scottish wilderness, history and culture. Looking for people with similar interests to join me for any part of the trip - not fussed about age, gender, etc, just people wanting to experience similar things. Would consider hiring a car but probably thinking bus/train travel at this stage, and staying in hostels. Open to other people's travel suggestions too, as I haven't really started planning. Cheers, Seamus.

Hey, thanks to those that replied. My work contract has been extended so I now won't be in mainland Scotland until mid May. I'm going to put up a new thread with the new dates for any keen travellers. Cheers, Seamus
