Is she really that bad? or are you joking? Cant you just "bite the bullet" and put up with it for just 1 week? If her apartment is so enormous, cant you just shut your bedroom door and maybe put a bag or something there so she cant burst in? Maybe be thankful that you dont live close by

Hi, can't help with any accommodation suggestions BUT, why not approach a TV channel with your story, because it sounds like a great senario for a classic sitcom - you could make a million!

You might try Clouds (www.clouds.co.uk) - a friend of mine lets through them, mainly to thespians doing shows in Edinburgh. With that sort of market they're geared up to short-term lets.

Maybe you ought to think about earning a bit of dosh on the side by running ghoulies-and-ghastlies tours of your mother-in-law. Just warn the punters they might need to be immunized against bat rabies.

Is she really that bad?

totally! i think she has a personality disorder of some type. she has rages and tantrums like a two year old does and then comes back a minute later nice as pie. i have also seen her throw a TV out a third storey window because her other son wouldn't stop watching it.

imagine a cross between Clarissa from the Two Fat Ladies and Wayne Carey. she is incredibly posh, incredibly educated and has serious anger problems.

she came out to australia to visit for xmas and i was hiding in my room afraid to go to the loo. and i'm 31 years old. and it was my house.
