I'm planning a trip to Glencoe in late September and would like to traverse the Aonach Eagach ridge. What are the chances of there being snow up there? Has anyone done it before in late September or early October? Thanks.

Pretty low but I wouldn't want to bet my house on it.

I've done the 'Aggie in September, the weather was great. You won't see snow till November usually, although in Scotland even in the summer the rain on the hills can be very cold. October is often wet and miserable.

You should note that it's way more dangerous when it's wet on the ridge - choose a dry day if possible, It's not a tourist trip and the exposure on the pinnacles is 'interesting' I'd do the ridge as early as possible as you don't want to be still on it in the dark.
