Two years ago I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain, 500 wonderful and deeply soulful miles across the north of Spain. I feel the call to explore the west of Ireland with that same spirit of exploration and deep reverence and the openness to transformation. Yeats knew. . . I love some thoughts on where to walk, more than a week, perhaps two to three weeks. If it doesn't sound too "hippie", I'm open to the shamanic walking with the Tuatha. A few practical questions:

Hi! I'm currently an undergrad student in the United States (20 y/o, female), and I'm interested in finding a summer job in Ireland. I was wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to find employment there? I'm just looking for a minimum wage job, such as waitress or cashier or the like. I just want to make sure I'm not being optimistic if I just show up and look for employment. Would signing up for BUNAC help as well?
Thanks for any help!
Hi there!
So I'm a 25 year old female American and I will be traveling to Ireland (in and out of Dublin) in mid April from a Tuesday - Saturday. I will be traveling by myself and my plan right now is mostly to stay in hostels, with the possibility of couch surfing. I know I don't have a lot of time there but I don't plan on spending all of it in Dublin. I'm just looking for some good ideas of what to do, possibly with the opportunity to interact with other solo travelers. I plan on hitting up…
Hello, my husband and I are booking a relatively last-minute trip to ireland the last week in March, and looking for any interesting suggestions. Our rough itinerary is arriving in Dublin early morning Weds Mar 26, renting a car and heading along the scenic route towards Galway, stopping at rock of cashel and limerick for lunch along the way. Spend a couple of nights in Galway, with day drives out around the cliffs of moher, ring of kerry, and who knows what else. We'll return to Dublin around…
Hi, we are planning a tour of Ireland in July, we will have 11 days only but there are many things we would like to see. The problem is that we are four and each of us has something that doesn't want to miss (and of course these places are widespread all over the country!) We have managed to negotiate an itinerary but I would like to know if it is realistically feasible (although tight, I am aware of this!)
Dublin - 2 nights
Glendalough and sleep in Kilkenny - 1 night
Casher - Cahir and sleep in…
Hello! My name is Izzy and I will be travelling through Portugal, Spain, England, France, Ireland and Scotland starting in May of this year. For the majority of my trip, however, I'll be travelling through Ireland! Ive wanted to go all of my life so I couldn't be more excited. I've booked my flights into Dublin and out from Belfast- but everything inbetween is free and open. I'll be travelling into Dublin early June and out from Belfast in early July. For the rest of my trip I'll be travelling…
So I just finished a reading a novel called The Ginger Man by J.P. Donleavy. I'm curious, where would many of the pubs, restaurants and underground catacoombs be that he writes about in this novel? Also, does 38 Trinity College still exist?
Based on some quick research, it seems one of the characters was based on an Irish writer named Brendan Bahen who I believe was friends with Donleavy (I think).
Anyways, when I get to Dublin, I'd like to visit some of these places if they actually exist. I…
My family and I will be renting a house in Cahir Daniel between Sneem and Waterville for 2 weeks at the beginning of May. We will have a vehicle. Does anyone have suggestions for must-see sites to visit etc.? Also what are suggestions and advice regarding cell phone usage and credit card. Thanks.
