Hello,

Can anyone advise me how long before your flight departs you should arrive at the airport? I haven't booked my flight yet, but will flying Dublin to London with Aer Lingus.
Thank you.

Hi
First trip to Ireland for us. Here is our itinerary. We fly into Dublin and will have a car.

1 night Kilkenny
2 nights Killarney
2 nights Limerick
2 nights Galway
1 night Dublin

We really love the history and prehistoric sites and castles etc. Like off the beaten path types of things. Of course some of the touristy stuff. But not too much. Mostly the sites and history of the beautiful country.

We are really wondering about the Dingle or the Ring of Kerry and have also been told to…

Hi, I'm 18 years old from the United States and I'm looking to travel to Ireland. I want to go in the middle of May and stay for around a month, I will be alone. I know that I would want to fly into Dublin and stay there for two or three nights with a hostel booked in advanced so I can get into Ireland, sleep off any jet lag and prepare before I set off. From Dublin I want to walk to the Wicklow Way to Clonegal and then take the bus to Cork. I'm still planning from there. I will be on a pretty…

Hello All!

Just wanted a little help ... I'm traveling to Dublin, Ireland for 15 days. I have a friend who lives there, so I really want to stay in the area/take day trips rather than stay overnight anywhere. Was wondering what are some good places to go see and what in Dublin are must sees? I will be traveling alone some days because my friend will be at work.

I was also considering going to Scotland, London, or Paris for 3-4 days during the week, but would go alone ... any suggestions for…

We will be travelling from Bandon (County Cork) to Oughterard (County Galway). We think a stay over in Bunratty may be an option for us as we want to visit the castle and the Folk Park during thr day. We would love to experience a cultural evening that night. It need not really be a show, but something to remember. I now have second thoughts about Doolin. Perhaps visit Bunratty during the day and then leave for Doolin where there may be a venue with Irish music?

Hello All

We are looking to spend 2 nights in County Meath at the end of our 2 week trip to Ireland. Does anyone have any recommendations on what town to stay in? We plan on checking out Newgrange, Loughcrew and some other sites. So we are looking for something in that area that would be a good base of operations. We do have a car and we will be there towards the end of September. Our plan would be to drive directly to Dublin airport after leaving the area to fly home.

Thanks for your…

Thank you to those who provided advice on rental cars - it was much appreciated. Now that that's taken care of, here's the rough itinerary I've put together. I don't feel the need to spend a ton of time in Dublin - I'd rather be out in the country, or at least in other, less European cities. Please feel free to comment/give advice/tear it apart :)

Sunday, 5/18 - Arrive in Dublin at 8:05AM. Head in to the city, drop off bags, and see the sights.

Monday, 5/19 - Check out of hotel. Spend the…

Tattoo

My friends and I are going to Ireland the first 2 weeks of May and we were thinking about getting matching tattoos to commemorate the trip. I realize how cliche this is but does anyone know a good shop that does traditional Irish tattoos? We will be spending time in Dublin, Kilkenny, Dingle, Doolin and Galway. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

My partner and I are looking at a 22-day trip around Ireland and Scotland. Just to be fair, we've divided it right down the mid-line and are looking to spend 11 days getting around as much of Eire as we can. We want a couple of days in Dublin but really want to see Cork, the western coast and Northern Ireland. Any ideas or thoughts on completing this epic circuit?
