I am posting on behalf of a couple of French-speaking people from France, who are going to walk the Dingle Way in 1 week from now. Camping. They will land in Shannon, and pass by Limerick and Tralee before starting the walk.

Their specific questions are the following :

1) Will it be possible to find gas refills in Tralee or Limerick (if not, where else??) They use MSR POCKET ROCKET , which is compatible with MSR and PRIMUS valves 225 or 450, COLEMAN valves 100, 250 and 500

2) They intend to walk…

Any comments on this 7 day plan. I will be travelling on my own next September, bussing it.
Fly into Shannon and stay in Ennis as a base for a few days and do day trips with Barratt tours I think they are called. Read that Ennis is preferable to Limerick?

Then move onto to Doolin, stay as a base, 2 nights. Are there tours companies doing day trip from Doolin?

Out to one of the Aran islands-any suggestions?

Dingle - a night, then Cork for 1 night.

For our last 2 nights in Ireland before flying on we are looking for hotels/b&b, etc, preferably close to and with a coastal view, but not essential, and preferably close enough to the rail so we can leave our car there at the station or at the accommodation if close enough to walk and don't have to drive and park in Dublin City. Just the 2 of us. East and north of the airport seems most logical and would appreciate any advice. Many thanks.

Hello, i was last in Dublin more than ten years ago and i loved it. I will be spending three weeks there between nov. and dec. i would very much appreciate any tips about cultural life there, good irish music pubs ( i know o´donoghes , for example) and any other suggestions that can contribute to my better knowledge of the city, its identity, day and night life , etc . Also, any good restaurants where you can still enjoy the Irish stew ?? I remember there was a pub next to the tourist…

I am interested in going from Italy to Ireland with my camper van.
I guess the best way would be to take a ferry from France.
DO you have any idea about ferries but Ireland ferries? they have no info about 2008, so I cant make any inquiries..
BTW - how cold is it usually around Dublin area? can camping be faun there?

Is anybody away of a decent budget car hire company? All of the majors are sooo expensive for Ireland?

Driving from Dublin to Dingle sounds tragic, so which airport can I fly into from London? or shoudl I train it from Dublin?
