If anyone's looking for a small group tour (max. 12), checkout Wolfhound Adventure Tours. I took two, a SW tour and a North tour and enjoyed both immensely.

Dave is a fantastic guy (owner/operator) and you will have an amazing, interesting, entertaining, likely hilarious, time. Very low-key, off the beaten path, find the hidden healing wells, stone circles, etc and hike/bike/ride - whatever you want to do. He is filled with history, legends and song and he will definitely connect you with…

Hi, could anyone tell me if you can hire camping gear from somewhere in Ireland? I've found quite a few websites for places that hire gear in England but nothing in Ireland. We need enough stuff for four people but will bring our own sleeping bags. Thanks very much.

I am planning on walking the Dingle Way next spring. I enjoy hostels, but also like the solitude (and frugality) of wild camping. On the 8 day trip I'd probably do 4 nights hostel/4 nights camping.

Does anyone know the current situation with regard to wild (backcountry) camping on this trail?

Looking for recommendations for a New Year's Eve hangout in Dublin this year. Some friends and I found a "fantastic" deal to Dublin for New Year's and decided to give it a go (I know many posts have commented Dublin would not be their first choice for NYE, but going to Dublin was super cheap). My understanding is that you need to book a reservation at a pub beforehand. Is this true? We are in are late 20's and early 30's and would like a place with great atmosphere and lively. I am thinking…

hey,

So I was in Dublin a couple of weeks ago.. and the Dublin Bikes have just gone in.

2Euro for 3 days use (30mins free each use)
you need a credit card which is pre-authorised for 150Euro guarantee.

theres plenty of stations around the city, bikes are pretty good, comfy for tall people too (im 6'2)

I have bought my husband suprise tickets to Dublin for his birthday in early December. He has never been to Ireland before and the last time I went was when I was a kid.

Although we want to have a quick peak at Dublin I know he would love to go outside Dublin to get a taste of the real Ireland. We fly into Dublin on Saturday morning and fly out early Monday morning. What can we do and where can we go in such a short space of time so that we can get a better taste of the country without rushing…

Dear people of Ireland!

The future of European nations is in your hand today!

Can anyone comment on their success/failures in getting work in Ireland during these economic times. Thinking of going early next year on a working holiday visa but am concerned it might be hard to find work. Would mainly look for temping in an office though I do have a communications degree.

I was looking for options for air travel from London to Cork (or Shannon). Ryanair shows the route (London to Cork), but there's nothing showing on flight requests for anything after late March. Is this a route Ryanair has cancelled or is it just too soon to try booking? Any public transport option suggestions would be appreciated (from Britain, not necessarily London to Cork or Shannon).
