Good morning,

I would just like to ask - we are a short trip to Ireland and one of our friends is joining us later. She should arrive to Dublin airport at 11.15 p.m.
I have spent nights in several airports around the world and I know they differ (in the way they are accessible to strangers, in the way the guards leave you alone and don't forbid sleeping...)
Is Dublin one of these safe airports where getting a knap on one's bag and heading to the city in the morning is possible?

Or, do you think…

just wondering what you guys would make of a lone Irish girl doing a lone cycling tour round ireland for a few weeks? I've never really travelled in my won country but am pretty experienced in biking in other parts of the world..namely Asia.

I'm thinking of going home for a few months next year and this cycling tour is in my head..but I keep thinking that it is not safe.

Cheers!

I am planning a road trip next year and any advice would be appreciated. It looks like it will be a 10 day trip starting and finishing at Dublin ferry terminal.
I am thinking of doing bed and breakfasts with maybe a stay in somewhere flash for a night. Apart from that I haven't looked into too much yet. Although I hear it is about 7 euros a pint in Dublin. Is it that much everywhere?

Cheers in advance.

We will be arriving a Dublin Airport arond 11am. We plan to head into the city using public transport before heading back out to the airport aroud 8pm.

What is the cheapest & quickest way to do this? As it's only 10km away I was hoping local bus will suffice?
Where in the city should we get off the bus?
What should we see in Dublin over an aftenoon/evening. Free things suit us best! Of course we will spend the evening (until 8pm anyway!) in a pub arond Temple Bar (not free - or even cheap, I…

I just found a great airfare to Dublin in the middle of Nov for 8 days. I am a budget and solo traveler. I usually rely on public transportation but I have read that in Ireland renting a car beats public transportation.

I am interested in discovering the culture, architecture and going to small town, I am not too interested in visiting local Pubs, but want to get exposed to the culture but with budge in mind. I checked the hostel in Dublin and it seems a good place with good prices. I need some…

Does anyone know if there is a person/company that leads photography tours (day/halfday) in Dublin? I am leaving for Ireland on Monday for 9 days. I will be mostly with a group but will have some free time to myself. If not, any suggestions for the must see and must photograph spots in Dublin.

Thanks

Hello! Just wanted to bring attention to this Bed and Breakfast about 11km from Dingle. I spent 2 weeks in Ireland and this was the best B&B experience of the whole entire trip. If you are planning a trip to Dingle, definitely check this place out! We stayed in late Sept. for two nights and each night was originally 35 euros per person but the owner honoured a coupon we printed off his website for 10% off our entire stay.

It's called "Coill An Rois" (meaning…

When I'm in Dublin, I'd like to go to Bray to see an elderly relative, and take her to lunch. The idea is to have an unrushed lunch, perhaps a short walk, and a cup of tea back at her place.
I know that, when I puchase tickets for the DART, I should ask for a "return" ticket rather than "round-trip" as we'd say in the US. My question is whether there's a less expensive version of a return ticket ( "day return"?). If it matters, I'm thinking that I'd leave from Sandymount at about 11, and depart…

Does anyone know where we can go to a traditional Irish jig night on a Saturday night in December? We are only in Ireland for the weekend.
We will be staying in/near to Dublin but would love to go a traditional Irish night (one that's more local than touristy). Willing to travel a little way out of Dublin.
