We are looking to travel to Ireland (and after that Scotland) early next month and were wondering about small campervan hire. We have travelled through New Zealand and lover the flexibility a small camper has to offer. There are just the two of us and we don't need a big motorhome.
We have seen the "Wicked" campers in NZ and notice that these are available in Ireland as well. Can anyone recommend any other companies that offer small campers?
Thanks in advance.

I'm headed to Ireland with family from June 5-15, so hopefully the major touristy attractions will have been checked off my list by then. From June 15-30, I will be there alone and want to go all around from Dublin to Dublin. Two weeks seemed like a long enough time until I gathered all the places I wanted to see in front of me...plus now I'm learning of others I really want to see too!
1.) Here is a list of the places I'd like to visit, in your opinion which would you recommend I definitely…

Hello,
I'm planning a trip to Ireland in May and was hoping to get some advice. I'll spend the first week on a horseback riding tour in Sligo, then I have 7 full days in Dublin where I will take some day trips around the countryside and enjoy Dublin in between. I spent a few days in Dublin on a trip 9 years ago, so have seen the major sights already but loved the city. I'm traveling alone and won't have a car, so will use tour companies and public transportation.
I plan to take a day tour…
Hi All.
Husband and I are doing 2 weeks in Ireland late September/ early October this year. We're considering renting a camper van for part of the trip, probably one week, while travelling through more rural areas. We like camping and though this would be a fun alternative to rental cars and hotels/ B&Bs the entire trip. Questions as follows:
1) Anyone have any experience camper van-ing in Ireland? Is it safe once out of the major metro areas? The company we plan to use is Vanderlust.com.
2)…
Two questions --thanks:
-
Has anyone stayed at central hotel in Dublin. Thoughts?
-
Would it be challenging to find a decent place without reservations in late may in Galway or tennis?
Thanks again...
Hello all. My fiance and I are heading to Ireland for nine nights in mid-May. I was hoping I could run through our rough itinerary and you friendly folks could let me know if I'm packing too much in or missing something entirely.
Day 1: Arrive Dublin at 10:30am. Arrive at hotel (Staunton's On The Green). Relax, walk around, get the lay of the land.
Day 2: Dublin walking tour. Highlights include St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, Trinity College and the Temple Bar area.
Day 3: Bus tour of…
