I want to rent a car in Galway and base myself in Doolin, for a few bike rides and car rides to sights in the area, from 18-19 August to 23 August. Am looking for someone (or two or three) to share expenses of renting a car during that time. I want to spend the evenings in Doolin, to hear some of the music there. (Or is it possible to take a bus from Galway and rent the car in Doolin?) Anyone interested let me know -- Thanks.
hi there, i have a crazy idea about driving from killarney (where i booked an accomodation for two days) to galway. here it is:
killarney-dingle, back to tralee and take the ferry in tarbert to killimer, then arrive to galway. i think it takes about 4-5 hours driving.
is it reasonable do this tour de force in one day. i know that dingle peninsula is wonderful but i prefer see dingle and back.
any suggest is welcome

I want to travel through the Sheep's Head peninsula but I don't have a car.
Here are a few questions:
What are the best routes to do, walking or cycling, if you only have one day?
Is it easy to hiitchhike?
Where can I find a cheap place to stay?
Thanks in advance ;)

Earlier that day, the friends from Cork were among a large group which completed a seven-hour cycle from the city to Killarney.
They then battled gale force winds and driving rain to climb Carrauntoohill to raise funds for the Irish…
Hello fellow thorn tree readers,
I am a female in my forties. I am taking my mother (in her 70s) to Ireland (our first time there) in mid-September. I am purposefully keeping our itinerary light since
1. we are only going for 10 days. and 2. my mother is older and I don't want to rush. We fly into Dublin, staying there a few days, take the train (am pretty sure the train) to Cork for a few days, then depart out of shannon. We are still considering our activities but my main concerns are…
