Hi there! What will be the best (and cheapest) small town or village in Ireland, not too far from Dublin to stop for a night or 2 to experience some Irish culture? And what exactly can I do all there?
Thank You!! :-D
My wife and I recently spent 8 days in Ireland at the end of May. As a photographer, I took a good amount of photos (I haven't even looked at most of them still) and I posted daily on my blog while we were there with some shots from the day. IIf you want to have a look at our trip, the daily posts are:
Day 1: http://dustinhallphotography.ca/dustin-hall-photography-certainly-an-interesting-day-en-route-to-dublin/
Day 2: http://dustinhallphotography.ca/canadian-travel-photographer-dustin-hall-ir…
will be in ireland for one week. am thinking of driving from dublin to the giant's causeway, spending the night and returning to dublin the next day. also would visit bushmill's or other irish whiskey place.
according to google map you can drive along the northeast coast with a time of 3 plus hours.
has anyone done this? is the causeway worth this trip?
thanks,
Carol
My boyfriend, daughter and I will be traveling to Ireland either the week from Christmas till after new years, or the week from July 1st until the 11th. Just trying to find out what anyone can suggest as far as travel deals, things to see & do. ( we are looking more around Cork) ANY help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance!
Hi,
My boyfriend and I are planning to catch a ferry to Cork at the beginning of September and stay for about a week. Neither of us have ever been to Ireland and other than spending a 3 days with a friend in Dublin have no idea where to spend our time. It would be great to see some culture and natural beauty.
Does anyone have any ideas on where we should go (and stay) for 3-4 days or of any day trips from Dublin?
Thanks,
Rebecca
G'day everyone,
Backpacking around Europe for approximately 2-3 months from September 12th with two mates. We're from Melbourne, Australia and land in London on the 13th of September and fly out to Ireland on the 18th of September. What we're unsure of is whether to take a Paddywagon tour for 6 days and see most of Ireland or try and do it ourselves (we have Eurail passes), the reason being that we've read nothing but poor reviews on the paddywagon tours and feel that Ireland is the sort of…
Hi all,
My partner and I (aged 30 and 25 respectively) are traveling to Europe for 3 months, leaving in mid September 2011. We are planning to spend 7-8 days in Ireland around the very end of Sept to the start of Oct. All we have worked out so far is that we will land in Dublin and will spend 1 day/night here (we have both been here before!) and then hire a car for the week to drive around and take in the country side. We basically want to do a bit of a loop and end up back in Dublin. We are…
Hello, I am Joaquín from Madrid (Spain) and I am planning to travel along Ireland from the 4th to the 22nd of August. I was wondering if anyone would like to share a car with me to travel along mainly the south west of the country. I am a bit afraid to travel on my own by car due to the fact that I am not used to drive by the left side of the road. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
Best,
Joaquín
Hello,
My family and I are traveling in early Sept. to Ireland for 11 days total. Their are 6 of us ( 3 couples). The plan is flexible on the front and back end, but I have (loosely) booked a house in Dunquin on the Dingle Peninsula for 6 nights. The itinerary so far is:
Fri Day1: Arrive DUB 9am. Get thru customs & rent car by 11am. Drive Dublin to Doolin, see Cliffs of Moher in the afternoon (maybe by boat), dinner, drinks, overnite in Doolin.
Sat-Fri Day2-8: Drive to Dunquin via…
Hi All
My wife and I are heading to the UK (From South Africa) in late September and plan to add on a 5/6 day trip to Ireland as we've never been there before. We'll be flying into London and then plan to fly straight on to Dublin.
Day 1 (Fri) - Fly London to Dublin and sleep! Go out in the afternoon/evening to do the Dublin things (Temple bar etc).
Day 2 (Sat) - Spend the day in Dublin doing more Dublin stuff (Guinness factory etc) and then jump on a train to Galway.
Day 3 (Sun) - Spend the…
