hi there, i will be spending around three weeks in dublin between nov and dec. does anybody know about any walking / trekking clubs i could join to explore the wicklow area ?? thanks.

I think there are a few. But if you are with someone and have a mobile, get the OS map and to it youself, at your leisure. I think An Oige do some though.
