I'ma be in the west of Ireland. Not looking for tourist things, because I've done that before and they're easy enough to find. Not looking for "local" things because I'm not one, and I don't want to bother them. Looking for silly ridiculous stupid things I can do. If there are any. Will already be in a pub drinking, but if there's a really really good pub, out by say, Clifden, hey, lemme know.

Tombstoning is pretty stupid and hey, the weather will be perfect for a dip.

Go cycling on Inis Mór. Stop for a gawk over the cliffs at Dun Aoenghus. A wee bit touristy, but doing it in the dark after several pints of Guinness would be pretty stupid....

Both sound like grand suggestions. I'll have to look up exactly what tombstoning is - hope it just means looking at them. and I'll try not to fall off the cliffs.

Thanks!

It's jumping off them.

Why don't ya rock climb on the sea cliffs (google images)... Sign up for a training course in dephi adventure centre or similar or try surfing. Best surfing in europe round there.

Surfing and seaweed baths in Sligo. Not particularly stupid things to do but fun!

Go to Clonbur and absail down the Pigeon Hole. It's not that deep, so good for beginners and has steps out of it. Stay above Burkes Pub there, it's €40 a night B&B

Oh yeah, if you're near Westport walk up Croagh Patrick!! Do it hungover on a really hot day, that's what I did

All the most random stupid things involve the locals!! As long as you are up for a bit of craic and don't take yourself too seriously you should get along famously! The best thing about Ireland is the people and the laugh you can have with them!
