Hi
I'm after some advice!
I'm travelling with my family to Ireland for 1 week in early September landing in Dublin on 6th September and departing on 14th. We've hired a car for the week and will be travelling with our 6 month old son. We would like to do a bit of a road trip around Ireland probably having 3, maybe 4, hubs as we don't want to be packing/unpacking everyday or be driving most of the day. Does anyone have any advice of what to see/do? We were thinking Dublin/Galway/County Kerry as our 'hubs' as we like nature and the outdoors and would like to see some of the coast (cliffs of moher?) and our son has never seen the sea. Is 3 hubs enough or could we try to fit in some more? What should we not miss?
Thanks in advance
Tom

That sounds like plenty to fit in. The All Ireland finals will probably be on around that time so you could attempt to get tickets (prob not possible) or be in Dublin for the atmosphere.

I can't imagine you'll get tickets to the all Ireland hurling final on the 7th.

Depending on your interests aim for three nights Dublin (make one of these days a day trip to Wicklow mountains/Glendalough, Dalkey, or Newgrange or some such), two nights Galway, two nights Killarney or one night Killarney and one night Cork.

What you shouldn't miss depends on your interests and the weather (one of the Arann Islands off Galway would be good in the right weather) and is also limited by the baby in tow (for example, the vaults of St Michan's are out).
