Can anyone offer opinions on these two drives, please...
1) Will they be pretty much the same or do you prefer one over the other?
2) How much time should we allocate if we would like to enjoy it (ie get out of the car and make some stops) and not just push on through?
3) Recommended places to stop along the routes?

Thanks!

Would you please give us an idea of when ( what time of year) you intend
to do this.
Try not to worry about time as there's a lot to take in so start early in the morning.
Will you be staying in the area and where?

Sept.25th leaving from Killarney in the early AM and driving through Kenmare to do the Ring of Kerry, stopping in Dingle for the night. Then the Dingle peninsula exploration, Dingle one more night, then hopefully headed up to Lisdoonvarna via the ferry at Tarbert, or all the way to Galway.

sunrise: 07:30 sunset : 19:30 for Kerry around the 25th
Also when you reach Kenmare, you can (no charge) park
opposite "holy cross" church just make sure you
reverse in your space. it is very close to main st.
In Waterville stop by the BUTLERARMS.COM
enter the front entrance and in the porch you will
see photos of Charlie Chaplin and his young family
taken in the late 60's early 70's.
walking distance from the hotel on the beach
is a statue of Chaplin.
enjoy.
