Couple of days ago, I purchased tickets for 2 persons (lets call them Mr A & Mr B) for a flight on Ryanair, only to discover that I misspelled one of them's names (say Mr B should actually be Mr C).
Trawling through the ryanair site I can't seem to find the answer to a simple question,
Can Mr A board the flight without Mr B? (who doesn't exist anyway because his name is misspelled)
Apparently a "name change" costs Euro100! "www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=CHARGES", which is frankly daylight robbery.
Any ideas chaps?

Thankfully, they treat each person separate and you do not have to check in together, or at all, as #1 said. I wonder how long that will last before they charge for people not to travel!

Is Mr B/C still wanting to travel? And if so is it a major spelling mstake? Often if it is clear that it is a spelling mistake ryanair will change this free for you but you do have to call the £1 a minute or whstever it is phoneline.

Are you Mr A? Do you really want to travel Mr. B? Is Mr C the real one you want to spend time abroad? Was that a clever scam to get rid of Mr B to be together with Mr C? Wouldn't it be better to travel with Mr D? Or do you want as Mr A get rid of them all and board the flight on your own?
More questions than answers here, and I'd like to hear the story.
Anyway, Ryan Air is very strict with rules. The name on the booking thingy has to be exactly the same as on the passport. You might be lucky by explaining this (but please don't use the Mr A/B/C story) but ever wonder how Ryan Air makes a profit? Soon they'll charge you for using the toilet on the plane. Just wait and see.
Try it anyway but don't be too hopeful.

Thanks for the replies.
#4, Mr B (really Mr C) is travelling. Mr C = James Tiberius Kirk but i entered it as James Tiberius Tiberius (@ Mr B) instead.
Worth trying the £1 a minute phoneline?
I'll be calling from Asia, I wonder how they'll charge the premium rate onto a calling card.
