hey guys,
we're thinking about a long weekend to Northern Ireland... and I'm interested in knowing if anyone has recommendations of amazing places to stay up towards the coast near the GC. Pubs / Inns / Country hotels / GUesthouses.... alls options will be considered.
thanks!
James

I would definitely recommend a tiny village along the coast, about 7-8km from the causeway, called Ballintoy. It is beautiful (as is almost everywhere on the northern Irish coast it seemed), and has 3-4 good pubs, often serving up music in a lively atmosphere. We stayed at a hostel, but I can't remember the name. I think it's the only one in the village and is set back from the road. Signs make it clearly visible. They have private rooms as well with ensuites, and a kitchen to cook in if you want :-)

We stayed in a fab b and b in Ballycastle which again I cant recall but it is a few houses up from the end of the street from the seafront and is about 5 houses up from the hostel. It was about £50 a night but was gorgeous.

Smuggler's Inn

I haven't stayed here myself but have partaken of their pub grub!

It's about as close as you can get without staying in the Giant's Causeway hotel.
