OP, i find alot of the people on TT are boring by the book people and don't realise that rules are there to be broken...if you are a nice person and good at whatever u choose to do im sure u'll get on....

I was in Dublin about 2 years ago now and if its anything like it was then it will be easy to get a cash in hand job. I was there for 2 years and know people that worked in hostels, hotels, pubs and smaller supermarkets for cash. I would just get a resume typed up and go and drop them off all over and i guarantee someone will hire you. Good luck!

DaggieAggie, that's the point, it has changed. There are many many more Eastern European willing to work for low wages who are legally allowed to work there. So why would someone employ someone illegally when they would be paying the same wages.
Because of the influx of workers from Eastern Europe the authorities are starting to clamp down on illegal employees and the ramifications are harsh!
