All of Ireland is a Celtic area, and has many antiquities, so if you keep your eyes open, you'll be satisfied. Your guidebook will advise you as to the many antiquities you can visit, and maybe a specialist guidebook on ancient sites may be of value to you. Probably places like Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Glendaloch, Cashel, Clonmacnoise, the Skelligs (boat trip), Caherdaniel, Dun Aengus might be on a list of places to think about, though all of those would be too much for a week.

There is far more neodruidism in Britain than Ireland. Whilst various neopagans can be found hanging around Avebury and Stonehenge on special dates like the solstice and the ancient feasts, and behaving in entertaining fashion, you don't get such at Newgrange, where access to the site is very strongly controlled, especially at significant dates. But even in Britain the Druids haven't been set up as a tourist attraction, rather you might come across them by chance, or by having researched when and where you might find them.

Hey op,

I'm not going to get into the meaning of 'Celtic' or why almost all the sites people seem to think are Celtic aren't but maybe you could let us know what kind of places you mean? As iviehoff said you probably won't find any Druids here, occasionally there are some at The Hill of Tara at midsummer.

All the sites mentioned in #1 are well worth going to see for their own sake.

Hi OP,

I once met a woman in Chartres, France who was from the alpine town of Gap in France, who was very wary of visiting Ireland because of the energy that she may get from the country. At the time Chartres and Brittany was all the mysticism she was prepared to tolerate.
