I am looking for a decent budget hotel or B&B in Killarney during the second week of September. I will not have a vehicle so it must be central and I will have jet lag so I would like a place with a TV and coffee/tea making facilities in the room as I will likely be waking up stupidly early!
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Have a look at http://www.townandcountry.ie there should be a number of B&Bs in Killarney that have what you're looking for.

I found this link through another search I did - Joan (owner, I assume) has been very helpful in her emails. The "townandcountry" website seems very limited and very expensive to me.

OP says he won't have a car, so needs something in town. Link just above is for a B&B that appears to be about 5 miles from the town center. http://www.ireland-bnb.com is another site to check for B&B listing all around Ireland.

I stayed at the Sugan Hostel in Killarney 3 years ago. Can't remember whether there was a TV, but there were kitchen facilities and it was an interesting, quirky place. Had visitorbooks from years back, full of tips and anecdotes from earlier backpackers, which made funny reading. Roof was quite low in places (old building), hope you're not tall.
