DIngle - Ring of Kerry then Killarney.

Doolin town is non existent, its a hamlet with pubs spread out so idea of spending time in its town is er amusing, can always try Ennis though.

BE AWARE...................roads are average to poor and travel will be circa 30-40 mph on average, consumption of alcohol and late nights is conducive to making a mistake given other tourists on road as well. I have seen US tourists forget which side of road they need to be on, luckily enough van driver in front saw it and stopped and waited.

Yes, Killarney is touristy, but there's a reason why it's touristy. It's worth a visit.

I tend to agree with Mark that it is probably not worth it trying to get up north as well, although Donegal, Fermanagh, and Derry city are all very nice. If anything give yourself an extra day around Conamara and south Mayo (Joyce country), consider staying somewhere in Conamara or maybe in Cong.

On the whole it sounds good although ending every line with 'night in pubs' makes me wince. Perhaps because it reminds me of my own week in Conamara a couple of years ago - how I survived I'm not sure. However, there's not that much else to do in the evenings in most of the places mentioned.

Days 5 and 6 - consider one or both nights to stay on the Aran Isles - regular ferries to Inis Oirr from Doolin. Had 2 nights there last summer, though one would probably have been enough I guess. Two pubs plus one hotel bar, all with music as I remember, and all serve food. I really enjoyed it there, but would guess not for everyone.
As mentioned, Doolin is well worth a session, O'Connors is pretty good, and the tourists seem to vanish quite early. leaving plenty of room at the bar. Otherwise, not a great deal to see or do in the village itself
