Hello!
Does anybody know if it's possible to do the walk from carrick-a-rede to giant's causeway in one day, leaving Belfast in the morning and returning to Belfast at night? I'll be using public transport.

Thanks!

The walk itself is do-able for someone reasonably fit at 23 km. The 'public transport' bit is the challenge. It might be as long as a six hour return trip on public transport. Put your details into this and see how you go.

Yes it is possible. I would imagine the walk itself would take roughly 3 hours but you may find the Ulster Way website more accurate and useful.
I think there are a few ways with public transport. You can take the bus to Ballymena and change to a coastal town bus going to Ballycastle or similar. Through Larne would be very time consuming so your best option may be to go straight from Belfast to Coleraine by train/bus and connect to the coastal bus route to The Giants Causeway. You will need to check bus times but you could return via Ballycastle - Ballymena - Belfast. Or visa- versa.
In summer and especially June and July daylight lasts until at least 10 p.m in N.I.
Personally, I dont think a day trip does justice to the North Antrim coast especially if the sun is shinning as there are much more sights to see from Benone Beach to Carrickfergus Castle and some beautiful little train journey's at various points ( Castlerock, Bushmills etc ).
If you must do this trip in one day I would suggest leaving Belfast as early in the morning as possible. Enjoy.
