Does anybody know how much I would approximately have to pay for a taxi from City of Derry Airport to Letterkenny?
I'm arriving quite late at night when none of the busses are running.
Thanks!

I don't know the exact price, but a taxi from the airport to Derry City is about 12 pounds. Letterkenny is on the other side of Derry City, and I reckon you'll pay from the airport to Letterkenny about 40 to 50 pounds, if not more, because it's late night, the taxi has to go back and it's across the border. That's quite steep. You could consider to book a room somewhere near the airport and take the bus the next day. Could be cheaper. Or not, depends on the accommodation.
Good luck!

Friendly smedder again...
Not capable to talk/write in full sentences.
But since you are asking so charmingly - and I assume you expect full service from someone who is not obliged to deliver - I'll give some precious infos, but for kerstin, not for you:
2 miles from the airport
Happy now?

What the hell are you on about Carraig? I was asking where Letterkenny is, as I've been to that area and have never heard of it. I hope thats ok, although it will have to be, however much you needlessly throw your toys out of your pram.
Wait....here it is.. Blow me, it's the largest town in County Donegal. Took me as much time to find that out as it took Smedder to type "Where?" Did I hear the sound of sweetie Smedder's toys falling out of the pram?

Jayze, you were not asking where Letterkenny is, you just popped in "where"!
I thought you meant accommodation near the airport. Since you pretended in previous posts to know all about Ireland and the Irish I am surprised that you don't know Letterkenny, even if you say you've been in that area. It's the capital of county Donegal, biggest town in that area, you ignoramus! You shot yourself in your knee with that admission of knows-it-all-but-don't-have-a-clue.
Why is it that you always hijack any thread with your bad manners and insults? Get a life, boy! And learn to write in full sentences and ask civilized questions, for sugars sake.
Sorry Kerstin, my previous answers to your question where genuine.
Regarding the prices at the above linked motel I'd say it's probably not that much of a difference. Busses don't come cheap either.
Try to make a deal with the taxi driver. Tell him 30 pounds and he is on. Settle at 40 pounds at the most if he is haggling. It's worth a try.
Carraig: I want to go from Stansted Airport to Norwich.
Tony_b: Where?
C. Norwich, it's the biggest town in Norfolk. Well, actually it's a city because it has a cathedral. A bit of a medieval definition, I know, but there you go.
T. Shoiks, how I would I have known that? I'm from Letterkenny. But I know all about England. It's just to the left of the Mourne Mountains.

Tony, I'm not sure I've got it right now. I feel a bit out of tune, horrible tooth ache and connected with it loss of humour. I really shouldn't sit at my desk and send posts, but it helps to distract me from the pain (no emergency dentists in my neck of the woods at night).
My post #7 wasn't for you but for smedder. Or was it me who got it all wrong? Was smedder's "where" that straight forward?
Ach, what the hell, I'll hit the G&T now (tooth ache purposes only). And I'll look up Norwich, promise! Or was it Norfolk? That's England, right? Is the cathedral any nice? The Mourne Mountains are.
And Derry is definitely nicer than Letterkenny.
