Oooppsss WHICH of those trains will carry bikes in a seperate carriage. The website also says on most other trains only 3 bikes per train...is this true? Is it a hard and fast rule?
Tried to call the info office with not luck...so any advice/info appreciated.

Almost all Cork trains have a guard´s van with space for a good few bikes. You could try the contact info on the website to clarify which ones don't - the last one back to Dublin on Sunday night, I think, sometimes only has space for three.

Or you could ask the real experts on http://www.railusers.ie/forum/

The three bikes per train on other lines is indeed a hard and fast rule, I'm afraid.

To be honest Yofletch your link was not very helpful. I just wasted half an hour to find out that he does not answer that question at all.

Thank you both.
So...I won't go to first reference as #2 says my question not answered. Thanks #2 but given my luck I'll try to get on the one Cork train that doesn't have a guards car. Tried to register on Irish Rail website as you suggested but pop up says registration closed. And tried dozens of times to call the telephone number provided on IR website but phone disconnects immediately.
This is begining to be like something out of India!

Are you actually hoping to bring lots of bikes, or are you just afraid there won't be room for one or two? If you don't actually have more than three bikes, I would recommend turning up in a hopeful frame of mind with enough time to get the next train if the one you want is already full. But really on the Dublin Cork route you are unlikely to have problems anyway. As I said, almost all the trains have a guard's van.

Thanks again. Two bikes. Hopefull frame of mind is hopefull. If one cannot on desired train can one get an assured ticket for the bikes for the next train?

On the Dublin Cork route, I think you don't run any real risk of seeing two trains in a row that will only take three bikes. On the other routes, I think it's first come first served, so if you don't manage the first train, you should presumably be first in line for the next one unless you manage to time your departure to coincide with a local cycle race or something.
