If you are flying into Shannon airport and will be driving on the "wrong side of the road" I would highly recommend Ashgrove House B&B. The reasons are that it is easy to find, if you are driving at night ,as we were, this can be a big consideration. It is very close to the airport. The directions given by the friendly Shiela ,on their web page, say to go between Bunratty Castle ,well lit at night, and Durty Nelly's pub when you do you are on the road to Ashgrove house. Shiela and Frank love to mingle with their guests and they serve a wonderful, huge Irish breakfast. This location is great for touring the Cliffs of Mohr and the Burren. We loved Ireland but would recommend that you fold in the side view mirror on the passenger side as the roads are unbeliveably narrow.
