Hello all..
I am interested in going from Italy to Ireland with my camper van.
I guess the best way would be to take a ferry from France.
DO you have any idea about ferries but Ireland ferries? they have no info about 2008, so I cant make any inquiries..
BTW - how cold is it usually around Dublin area? can camping be faun there?
Thanks a lot...
Me

There are ferries from Roscoff in Britanny and from Cherbourg in Normandy to Ireland . You can also get a ferry to England and drive to an Irish Sea port

Don't know the word 'faun' - what does it mean?? (Well it means a wild forest deity - but not in this context surely?

From the point of view of choice and avoiding a long and possibly rough crossing from France, it might be worth driving across Britain.
At the risk of stating the obvious, we have seasons in Ireland. When were you thinking of coming?
The Irish climate is not particularly cold but it can be wet and windy. Summer can be very pleasant, however this year's one wasn't. Are you talking about camping in a tent and sleeping in your campervan?
#1 I think the OP meant fun. I'm sure camping can be fun anywhere as long as the conditions that would usually result in the person concerned having fun, by their standards, are met.
Sorry, I don't mean to be flipping but the last two questions seem a little, well, simplistic.

thanks for your help...
i am debating should I come in January or May, on the weather.
# 1 - I meant fun, sorry
# 2 - I want to sleep in my camper van and I guess that no one enjoys stumbling in the snow looking for the showers, so I guess "camping" is individual but has its common range between 5 - 30 degrees. That's what people that are used to camping describe as "fun weather"...
thanks again..
