Six of us (3 couples) are looking to hire a cottage in Wiltshire for a weekend in January. (Yes, it will be cold, wet and out of season, we know.) So, any one got any recommendations either for particular cottages or general areas? We are coming up from London, we will have cars, but a cottage in/near a village with a nice pub would be great.

The whole expedition is very random, and based solely on the fact that one of us wants to eat Wiltshire ham, in Wiltshire.....

i'm off to leicester for a gig on october 6th, and in need of a hotel for the night.

i'm not familiar with the area at all and was hoping someone could recommend a
decent hotel near to the university, the cheaper the better!! only really looking for
the bare essentials ie, bed and loo!!!

Heya! Will be stranded in Plymouth this sat. my train from york arrives at 11pm and the connecting train to st. austell doesnt leave till 9 am the next morning. the train station closes at 11pm and the nearest bed and breakfast and hostels close at 11 pm too and they wont wait up for us. Is there a safe place for the three of us girls to hang about for 6 hours? Help!

How walkable is it from Brighton station (for daily commute to Falmer)? According to google its 0.9 of a mile which would normally take me 20 mins to walk, and which I think would be fine but not if its up and down hills or if the areas I would need to walk through reasonably pleasant. The Embassy in Washington DC charged my son's credit card $265 on Sep 5 - that's the passport application fee + shipping - seems as if he should have got the passport by now...should he be concerned that it is lost, or is this typical?

looking for advice on a broadband provider. the flats ive been looked at in brighton all seem to be in non-cable areas so that rules out virgin cable broadband, and not being allowed to put up a dish rules out sky. have heard some bad things about virgin non-cable broadband, so can anyone recommend other providers?? i'm looking for speed, unlimited downloads, at most a 6 month contract, and wireless. I am in Leeds for six hours end of this month for work. However, my work will get over in only two hours or so. I will have say three to four hours to see a bit of Leeds.
