Hi,

My girlfriend and I will be traveling to London on Working Holiday Visas. From what I have read we may be required to provide evidence of sufficient funds ($4,500 - $6000 AUD) on entry in the form of 3 previous months bank statements (no internet print outs). The problem we have is that we will be traveling around Asia for around 6 weeks prior to entry into the UK making it seemingly impossible to present our latests bank statements.

Has anyone had this issue? How did you deal with it? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

not sure if this is correct, but Ive heard the "sufficient funds" thing is actually looked at to be in pounds, not in AUD - thus 5000GBP, not dollars. you might need to check this out though, cos the exchange rates will make a huge difference.
Would be great to hear an outcome, as Im planning on going to the UK myself next year.

$4,500 AUD would be sufficient. Not a collossal amount, but sufficient. Use internet bank statements, that would be fine, it has the logo on it and they can always drag you off in an extreme event to log on and show them the hard way, or make a fone call. TBH, the vast amount of times you'd be waved through anyway.

I would try to get work lined up in advance, as it might be tough to pick up a job easily. I have done the same in reverse so know how tight it can be once you start spending western style!
