Hey Guys,

I'm currently in Istanbul and flying to the UK early next week, I have accomodation booked for about a week at easyHotel in earls court and then im going to liverpool to stay with a friend for a couple of days. I have a return ticket paid for on virgin trains. I have enlisted the help of an agency to get me a live in job in london, in the case that there is no job yet found when I arrive back in london does anyone have any recomendations on the cheapest place to stay at short notice?

Do you think i'd be able to walk into any hostel and get a bed for a couple of days?

Something like this was asked yesterday or the day before. I have copied the page below.

The cheapest place to stay in a private room at short notice is possibly by taking a weekly room at one of a number of youth and travel hostels, W.W.W. information is in one of the replies I gave on the page below. Around the same price, also at short notice, are the rooms which Studios 92 offer.

You may also get a houseshare agency to fix you up at short notice. I can't remember any, search the web. And there are often rooms advertised, shared and private at short notice for short and longer periods in The T.N.T. magazine (free) and the free Australian / New Zealand / Canadian / South African British travel magazines which you find in most youth hostels in London, and certainly in Y.H.A. hostels, and often in metal boxes outside underground stations in London.

Enjoy your stay.

Hey Eben though it has been asked before some people dont see it and are in need of help.

If you go into most hostelsin London you will more than likely get a bed. But a quick search on hostelz.com willlet you know what they are like before you go into them etc. And if you are not sure ask to see the room before hand before you pay or at least alook about. but london yo shouldn't have any problem with finding a bed.
