...oh and by the way, Buminaround is exactly what I don't do! it's redundant camouflage!

Sorry for the late reply. OK, the situation is this, she is my girlfriend of 5 years. I employed her as a direct-hire Maid as that's the only way I could get her into Singapore. Lot of people do this as it seems to satisfy the Singaporean regs as well as generating revenue for the Government as I pay a small monthly levy.
We applied for a Tourist Visa for a 2 week visit to UK, based on she is my FDW but were turned down. I realise now the Tourist Visa wouldn't have worked as she would not have been a Tourist but would be working in UK, for me, at my house in UK. That's the way the UKBA appear to look at it anyway. What we need to do now, I think, is to reapply for another Visa but this time as an FDW.
If she applies in her own right for a Tourist Visa, having a letter from me saying she has time off work for a two week trip to UK it will look suspicious! I did get this advice from an 'Expert" migration company but I frankly think it's a non-starter.
We have been told we can apply for an FDW Visa after 6 months employment although the UKBA site says 12 months, I don't know if the Regs have changed recently but any advice is welcome on this 'new' attack!
It sounds as if she has already applied for a tourist visa and been declined (that is not entirely clear from what you say). If so, then if she now applies for a different kind of visa the officials dealing with the application will be able to see everything she said in the previous application. Since the new application would describe a situation significantly different from the earlier one, they would rapidly conclude that she was a liar and decline anyway. So I think that you have 'cooked your own goose'.
Had the original application been honest: that is, made it clear that you are a couple, that you support her and maintain a joint home in Singapore from your earnings there, and that this stuff about employer her as a maid is simply a device to satisfy Singaporean immigration, then your chances would have been pretty good.
Things like this are so much easier if you are married..

I think that FDW means 'Foreign Domestic Worker', the visa that allows his GF to live in Singapore and work as a maid.

Again, both I and the UKBA would wonder why on earth someone needed to bring a Domestic Worker into the country with them for a 2-week holiday...suspicious and odd anyway, the idea that you'd either not stay in a hotel that had its own cleaning staff, or not be able to clean up after yourself in a house, or need a specific foreign lady to do it and not one of the unemployed locals....odd
But given the failed application in the past and the fact that you are sleeping with the 'servant'; unlikely to get the visa.
Otherwise, be honest and leave it a while, declare the relationship and go for a visitor visa or a longer-term fiancee visa or something with all in the open.
