HELP PLEASE
Hi can someone tell me if I can buy a two together railcard card at Heathrow airport please?
I cant fill out the application on line as the system wont accept my Singapore postcode or mobile number.
I am travelling from Heathrow to Birmingham and then around the South of England in October and have been spending too much time trying to figure this out.

You can buy the Two Together Railcard at any staffed National Rail station in the UK, it does not look like the Heathrow Express stations sell it, and the Heathrow Express is VERY expensive. I would take the Underground to London Euston, which will definitely sell it and is also where the trains to Birmingham deaprt from.

You may find it quicker and more convenient to take a direct express coach from Heathrow to Birmingham.

There are two operators to Birmingham New Street from London Euston, Virgin Trains www.virgintrains.co.uk/ and London Midland www.londonmidland.com/ usually Virgin is faster but more expensive. There is another operator to Birmingham Moor Street (5 minutes walk from New Street) from London Marylebone which is Chiltern Railways www.chilternrailways.co.uk/ You should book in advance for the best deals, buying on the day can be very expensive, if you can commit to particular trains then it can be very cheap if you book far enough in advance, for October you should book now if possible. You can tell the booking engine that you have a Two Together Railcard even before you have purchased it, you only need to have the card when you travel and you can arrange to pick up the tickets from one of the automatic ticket machines at any major station like London Euston or London Marylebone, when you arrive. In October you can get an off-peak (after the morning rush hour) fare London to Birmingham for £6 one-way per person, with a Two Together Railcard it would be £8 one-way for two people.

A specific date and time in October would help but I would agree with #3; A http://www.nationalexpress.com coach can do it in as little as 2:35 depending on time of day.

Refer to the UK public transport search engine at http://www.traveline.info/

From the T&Cs note you will both require photos to attach to the cards at time of purchase. Also note the restrictions on times when they can be used.
