Am hoping some one maybe able to help with getting me around london!
I will be arriving there from the SW as going to a concert at the millenium dome in Aug. My train/bus will get me into either paddington or victoria (havent book yet). The problem is we will have bags for the week end which I am sure they will not let us into the concert venue with. We then need to get from the train/bus station to acton to drop of our stuff then back to the millenium dome. Not knowing London past the tourist stops all I can see is that it is going to take hours and involve about 5 different changes. We need to get to acton as we will be staying with my sister who has just moved there and does not know london enough to advise us.
Can anyone help with the quickest way of getting around.
Thanks

Acton is a lot closer to Paddington than to Victoria.
Were it not for your bags, I would suggest that you take a train that arrives at Waterloo. As it is, please look at the journey planner at tfl.gov.uk (website is the obvious from this). Play about with the various options that it offers, and once you have chosen a route that seems to work, come back and see if anyone here knows how it can be improved or can warn of pitfalls (eg long walks between platforms at certain tube stations, such as between the Central and Victoria lines at Oxford Circus).
