I am looking for a residence/hotel one having an attached kitchen and good wifi, as i will be there for a couple of months on business. Found a few in Coventry but couldn't find any in Rugby.
Any help appreciated :)

I suggest you use the search term "serviced apartment", that's the usual word for what I guess you are looking for. Though in a town like Rugby it is possible that there really aren't any. If you are prepared to do your own cleaning and laundry, then you could move down to "furnished apartment" and there will be a lot more available - whilst most will be looking for a minimum 6 month let, you'll find some will let by the week.
Another possible source is airbnb - you'll find that the owners of such property, if they have a brain, will be delighted to get a 2 month let, and in such a case you should be able to negotiate what services you would like them to arrange. My brother, who has a letting property of that variety in another part of the country, is smart enough to negotiate corporate lets in the off-season, and arranges the services they require. Holiday cottages can also be the same thing, but those will more often be in country villages around town. On this page there is one that is only 2 miles (it claims) from Rugby. http://www.touristnetuk.com/western-midlands-england/warwickshire/self-catering/rugby/
I would imagine that there aren't many places to stay in Rugby as it is rather small. Coventry is 14 miles away from Rugby and an 11 minute train ride so if you need to stay in Coventry after all it shouldn't take you long to get to Rugby.

It's not that small, its population is 70,000. It's the second largest town in Warwickshire. It has a large and famous boarding school, which likely creates a demand for accommodation for visiting family members. It is an industrial town - fairly high tech engineering too - likely creating a demand for accommodation by commercial visitors. It's not a town a tourist would likely want to go to, but then neither is Coventry. Clearly Coventry will have much more in the way of an evening entertainment offer, indeed Rugby's proximity and ease of access to Coventry means that Rugby tends to be somewhat underprovided.
