It's the closest thing to an American urban ghetto that I've seen in London

We hope to rent a studio for like 6 months and after we get to know some new friends in school we would probably do flatsharing... that's our plan for now. And we heard swiss cottage is a very nice place and we hope to go and see the area..

Swiss Cottage is lovely if safely out of your league considering your budget. It will take alot of time and luck to find a studio in an area like Swiss Cottage for 100-150. Also keep in mind that you may have some difficulty coming over and renting a place directly. Many letting agents are skeptical of overseas arrivees who may or may not have bank accounts and no credit. That is why shared housing is a much easier option when you first move to London: the requirements tend to be less stringent.

have a look on Gumtree

you might not find the place you're looking for but it'll give you an idea of what to expect. they have flat shares and whole flats for rent on there so it'll cover most possibilities.

If you are staying for six months, then you are able to get a studio for 150 pounds from a property agent in many areas of London.

Though they don't offer leases for shorter than that usually, so considering you have to find a place and you would have to pay the full rent for six months, you would be paying for longer than your stay.
