London is our lovely capital but most tourist think it actually "England". People change so much if you sqeeze some extra days/weeks into your holiday head out of the London tourist traps! Every capital is very similar.
Try the West Country (Devon, Cornwall) or join us up in Cumbria or the Yorkshire Dales (forget American Warewolf in London), maybe get a more warm genuine welcome from us straight talking folks......

Couldn't agree more, amazes me the number of Aussies and New Zealanders who come to do the WHV and never really leave London or the South, it's a different world up North, and generally a lot cheeper!

You have hit the nail on the head about London. Far nicer and more friendly places in the Uk. In addition to the places mentioned, Wales has a lot to offer.

I was in Knaresborough recently (Yorkshire for those who do not know) - and couldn't get over how cheap a pint of Sam Smith's Old Brewery Bitter was - £1.40 a pint in a standard pub (not a WMC)

Actually there are Sam Smith pubs in London that also sell their beers cheaply.
As a Londoner I would agree that people need to see more of the UK. The disparity in scenery, cities, etc is remarkable for so small an island.
