#14 I can think of another good one near here (north Essex) which is now a private house but still looks like your classic ancient, isolated hilltop church - PM me if you'd like details.

Selworthy church in Exemore has a old painted interior and is quite remote

At this rate I'll have enough to fill a book ;)

Now to get out there and visit a few of them - after I've pushed those clouds away...

Tynemouth priory is in ruins but still is recognisable as a church. It is on top of a hill like structure - there is just the sea below on a few sides.

Whitby abbey similar and there is a church building in tact as well as the abbey ruins.

Iken fits the bill perfectly (apart from the top-of-hill aspect!). Blythburgh is nearby.
