What's skyview? Do you mean Sky?

I mean place that is open to public with sky view.
any in Tate Modern, oxo tower, tower 42 ?

any free , public place ( not in restaurant,etc ) have a wide birdview ? how about Tower 42, Oxo tower, Tate Modern or other better choice ?

There aren't that many tall buildings in London let alone tall buildings open to the public. Many of the tall buildings are office blocks and those that do have a section open to the public (as far as I know) use the space to charge visitors for viewings or place bars and restaurants in them.

You can scroll through this list of tall buildings in London, each is linked to it's own page and most of the individual pages specify if the building is open to the public or has an observation deck.

On a clear day you get a good view of Canary Wharf (for free) from Greenwich Observation, you can also see the city from there but it's from quite a distance. If you had a good Zoom lense and a tripod you could probably get a good shot from there though.

One of the best panoramic views in London has to be the London Eye, which will cost you £14.50 adult (if you pre-book) or £15 (if you buy on the day) and takes you 30 minutes.

Primrose Hill, Hampstead Heath

You can walk up into the gantries in Tower Bridge. The Monument at the north end of London Bridge gives a great view of the City - 311 steps up though!

Oh just re-read it has to be free. Their good views of the river from upstairs in the Tate Modern. Monumnet costs about £2, Tower bridge about £5

Also The Monument is closed now, until December 2008. : )
