My father and brother have two nights in London one night in the Cotswolds in August. We'd like a good value place to stay in both locales, but would be willing to pay a bit extra to stay at a place that includes a knockout traditional English breakfast. Value less important than the experience, but we're not exactly rich. Any thoughts?

Also, any recommendations for places that have a full afternoon tea? I am aware of several high profile cliches in this area, but do you think they're so good as to be actually worth the trouble? Where would you take the in-laws for tea, assuming you wanted to show love for them more than impress them?

We enjoyed the Fosse Manor Hotel just south of Stow in the Wold. Their standard rooms are about 125 GBP for two including breakfast. We've stayed there twice and look forward to going back. The have a great English Breakfast.
