Any suggestions for a cheap "alternative" Christmas in London. Thanks

London, Ontario would be something rather different from the usual options for London. Very good chance of a white Christmas too.

One of the best Christmases we had was when we completely dropped out and spent it in Haltwhistle in the South Tyne Valley. We went to the sarol service in the church on Christmas Eve. It was bitterly cold when we came out and there was a hallo round the moon. Christmas Lunch was sandwiches sitting on Hadrian's Wall. It was magic!
Go volunteer at one of the Christmas soup kitchens. http://www.crisis.org.uk/pages/volunteer-christmas.html
