Hi :-)
I'm an Australian and I have just started my youth mobility visa in the UK! I'm planning on trying to find casual work here for a bit and then in November I am planning on working in France for the ski season. My question is does anyone know the process of getting a French visa for an Australian that is currently in the UK. I'm pretty sure you can do this in London but not sure what I need to do to organize an appointment and what I will need to take/organize before I go to the interview.
Cheers
Chris

Not sure an Australian can obtain a work visa for France. From the research I've done it would appear that a work permit must be arranged by an employer, and French employers can't employ foreigners if a French person is capable of doing the job.

You can apply for a working holiday visa for France, but if you are an Australian passport holder it looks like you need to do this in Australia. http://www.ambafrance-au.org/IMG/pdf/visa_vvt.pdf

This company: http://globalworkandtravel.com.au/l/france.php?id=Australians%20Working%20In%20France&gclid=COS3psCq2LgCFQdgpQodxGgAMg
claims to be able to do it all for you (include guarantee you a job).

The place to ask about this is (probably) the Australian Embassy in London.

The French embassy would be in a far better position to advise on French immigration/visa matters than the Australian one.

If you're talking about getting a youth working holiday visa for France, I don't think you can do this in London. You will need to apply to the French Consulate General in Sydney, where you need to have an appointment in person.
