Does anyone have a preference for Icelandic Mountain Guides or Glacier Guides to guide for Skaftafell-based glacier hikes? We are looking at either the Glacier Adventure from IMG or the Glacier Explorer from GG.

HI. I hope someone can help, as I getting myself in a real pickle as there seems to be so many lovely places to see and visit in Norway and we only have a week there.
So far, I have 2 days in Oslo, 2 days travelling from Oslo to Bergen by train via Flam where we have an overnight stop. We are sort of doing our own NNIN.
2 nights in Bergen.
Then, well we would very much love to do a self drive tour over 2 nights, ending up at Bergen airport. I am thinking of maybe a tour around the Hardangerfjord…

I'm currently debating where to head for a 7-10 days short break. At the minute I'm really intrested in Faroe, Azores or Fjord Norway but have no idea how to start planning this trip! As a single female 29 year old traveller, I would like to get a way & have my own space, but I also do like to meet new people. If anyone has any links to any group tours or any suggestions please let m know!

We have decided to go in Norway, next july and just start our preparation of trip. The autotour will be something like: Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Andalsnes, Trondheim, Oslo.

At the moment, the car is rent, first and last nights of hotels also.
We would like to know if it is absolutely necessary to book all the nights or if we can find hotels, cabins, B&B directly ?

We are heading to Iceland in early/mid-June for 10 days/9 nights. We are planning to rent a car and drive around.

I am frantically trying to put together a travel itinerary, and would really appreciate some input! Is this itinerary doable? Will we have time each day to see/do the things I have planned. Should any of the activities be pushed a day back or forward? Any areas that need more/less time? Anything not worth doing? Anything essential missing?

Hello! I am looking to take a budgeted trip to Iceland in early August (July 31st to August 6th). I am looking to spend most of my time outdoors, with some backpacking/camping options for 2-3 days. I will be renting a car to get around. I have a lot of interest in trying out stand up paddleboarding, as I love it and have my own at home. Has anyone done this? A friend and I are hoping for some advice regarding our journey into western Sweden. We would, at minimum, like to see Bergen, Stavanger, hike Pulpit Rock, and experience the majesty of the wondrous fjords along the way. We are hoping to get around by bus/train, so that we can enjoy the scenery.

Looking through previous posts, we understand that May would have been a better time to hike, but our dates can not be helped. No Trollstongue, alas.

Hello- I will be spending 4 days in Helsinki in mid-July. I have 4-5 free days after before I fly home. I was thinking about a canoe tour in the national parks but was wondering if there were other suggestions as I am solo traveler and don't seem to find set tours to join. I will have just come from St Petersburg and the Baltics so was hoping to stay in Finland. Nature, hiking, biking all sound very good to me!
