Hello,
I'm seeking advice about any good day hikes in the Faroes. Is it possible to purchase topographic maps over the net before I go?
Thanks.
This maybe such a dumb-ass question but can anyone tell me if there are roads in Greenlan.
My pal and I are planning a mega drive by getting the ferry from iceland, but want to know if there are any roads to drive from east to west (Nuuk)?
Thank you
The first post contains the text, which is a spoiler if you have not seen Babel. So if you don't want to see the SPOILER, don't read this.
Thanks.

Hello,
I am a 61-year-old french retiree, divorced and travelling alone.

I am looking for a nice, quiet place, anywhere, as long as people are friendly and willing to learn or improve their french. I am a discreet, unobtrusive, non smoking guy, used to travelling a good deal. I would consider staying 2 or 3 months.

I am planning on going to Norway for trekking. After reading a bit the Lysefjord area seems to be an attractive area. Well coming from Oslo to Stavanger by train I couldn`t figuere out how to get to Lysefjord. Can anyone suggest a tour starting point for a 6 day trek and how can I get into the fjord - is there a schedueled boat? (I'm looking for the budget version :-)

I'm planning to fly to Copenhagen, stay in Denmark for a few days (max. a week), and go to Finland from there.I want to see as much of Finland, Sweden and Norway as possible. I don't think I'll go to Iceland, as this would require another ticket.
Could anyone tell me how much I should expect to spend per day? I'll probably go frugal but not to the extreme. I'm planning to stay in 4-bed dorms in hostels or in B&Bs. I'll…
